Niet alleen de Miami Winter Music Conference staat voor de deur, maar ook het voorjaar komt er weer aan! Tijd dus voor zonnige muziek! Sinds deze week is het driedubbele Miami-album van toonaangevend platenlabel Defected uit en hierop is niets anders dan zonnige muziek te vinden. Defected is vooral bekend om zijn soulvolle en funky house releases en daar is deze driedubbelaar een blauwdruk van. We krijgen hiermee een goede impressie van de afgelopen paar maanden met nieuwe remixen van wat bekendere tracks en de komende maanden met een aantal nog te releasen nummers. Zo mixte Simon Dunmore onder ander tracks van Ian Pooley, Axwell, Soul Central en the Motherfunkers aan elkaar.
De eerste twee cd’s zijn prima luisterbaar en vooral cd3 (iets steviger) is bijzonder te waarderen. Ik heb de driedubbelaar deze week nog niet van repeat afgekregen!
